Deb Ryan is the Head of Low Carbon Market Analytics for S&P Global Commodity Insights, a division of S&P Global and the leading provider of information and benchmarks for the energy and commodities markets. Based in Denver, Deb leads the Low Carbon Footprints team, which focuses on the market mechanisms and analytics that underpin the carbon emission footprints of existing infrastructure, specifically related to fossil fuels. Deb is a well-recognized public speaker and is known for her views on market outlook on the oil and gas industry, regulation and energy transition. Deb brings almost 20 years of upstream oil industry experience. She has worked at both oil and gas operators, and in consulting, where she focused on reserves and resource assessments, cash flow analysis, fair market evaluation, regulation and litigation projects, and also did reservoir modeling. Deb is a Professional Engineer in Colorado and Texas with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering, both from Curtin University in Australia, and an MBA from Penn State, US. Deb serves on the International Board of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and previously served as the Treasurer for the Women’s Energy Network Foundation.

Joseph McMonigle officially assumed his position on July 1, 2020 as the fifth Secretary General of the International Energy Forum (IEF), the largest international organisation of energy ministers and based in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He has over 20 years of experience working on energy issues in the public and private sectors.

Prior to becoming Secretary General, Mr. McMonigle was the President & Co-Founder of The Abraham Group, a leading international energy sector management consulting firm based in Washington D.C. as well as a senior energy analyst for Hedgeye Risk Management based in Stamford, Connecticut.

In addition, Mr. McMonigle was Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) during the first term of the Bush Administration (2001-2005) and helped to manage a cabinet department with a $23 billion budget and over 100,000 federal and contractor employees at the time.

He also served two years as the former Vice Chairman and US Representative of the Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA), an international organisation of oil consuming countries within the OECD, whose core mission is to work on stable energy markets. He also served as the US co-chair of the US-China Energy Working Group as part of his DOE portfolio.

Before joining the Bush Administration, Mr. McMonigle was a general counsel and communications director to a United States Senator. He was elected by his peers to serve two terms as President of the U.S. Senate Press Secretaries Association, a bipartisan organisation of Senate press secretaries and communications directors.

Mr. McMonigle is an attorney and a member of the Energy Bar Association and licensed in the District of Colombia and Pennsylvania state bars. He is also an FAA licensed pilot with instrument rating.

He received his undergraduate degree from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (USA) and his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (USA).

Pascal is Vice President of Carbon Markets & Economy at TotalEnergies.

Starting in 2006, Pascal was a pioneer in the carbon markets when he was leading the carbon operations of Rhodia and Orbeo (JV with Société Générale) within the Kyoto and EU ETS frameworks.

In addition, Pascal was also partner at the international Venture Capital cleantech investment fund “Aster Capital” and has over 10 years experience in the chemical industry, where he held several positions in France, Italy and USA such as Plant General Manager, Corporate Strategy Director, and Energy Director.

Nicolas Dupuis serves as Senior Director, Energy and Environmental Products, Asia Pacific, for CME Group. He is responsible for leading the firm’s energy and environmental business throughout the Asia Pacific region, including strategy, marketing and distribution of futures and options on CME Globex®, the exchange's electronic trading platform, as well as the company’s OTC energy clearing services through CME ClearPort.

With the growing environmental interests of customers, Dupuis is focused on helping clients in the region with their risk management needs in the emissions market. He also works closely with Dubai Mercantile Exchange, CME Group’s strategic partner, to cross promote products and services.

Prior to joining the company in September 2016, Dupuis was Head of Energy Derivatives Desk Asia Pacific at Societe Generale, where he was responsible for sales, trading, and clearing brokers’ activities. Before that, Dupuis worked in various roles across trading, deal structuring and sales with Total and Societe Generale.

Dupuis holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Lyon, and Masters in Technology Management from EM Lyon.

Jason Mitchell is Head of Responsible Investment Research at Man Group and co-chairs Man Group’s Stewardship Committee. Previously, Jason was Co-Head of Responsible Investment at Man Group.

Jason worked at Man GLG from 2004 to 2008 as a portfolio manager. Between 2008 to 2010, he advised the UK government on infrastructure development across Sub-Saharan Africa. He returned to Man GLG in 2010 as a portfolio manager, before becoming a sustainability strategist across Man Group in 2017. Prior to Man GLG, he was a Vice President at Andor Capital Management and an investment research analyst with Pequot Capital Management.

Besides having managed environmental and sustainability strategies, he speaks and publishes widely on responsible investment. Jason’s articles and comments on sustainable investing have been quoted in a number of top-tier publications, including Institutional Investor, Wall Street Journal, CNBC Squawk Box, Responsible Investor, Aftenposten, Global Times, AIMA Journal and Investment Europe. Fabio Nehme heads the development of CBA’s international carbon business, covering sales and financing activities across compliance and voluntary markets. He has 20 years of experience building and running international carbon and environmental commodities trading and financing businesses with previous executive roles at the IFC (World Bank Group), EDF Trading, and Nehme Commodities. His wider industry engagements include, among others, testifying to the Californian government on international carbon markets, chairing the board of the leading UK foundation on decarbonisation of buildings and households, and helping spearhead industry initiatives to bring digital solutions to environmental commodities.

Ingo Ramming is Head of Carbon Markets at BBVA and has 20 years of experience in Environmental Markets Trading and Project Development. Before joining BBVA, Ingo was a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Solutions at Commerzbank and worked at Dresdner Kleinwort and ENRON. Between 2006 and 2013, he was a Director of Carbon Trade & Finance. Ingo was Deputy Head of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse Commodities, a Member of the Exchange Council of the European Energy Exchange (EEX), and Co-Chaired IETA’s EU ETS Working Group.

Jinny joined ICBC Standard Bank in early 2016 as Chief China Economist, and leads the China markets strategy and research team. Her focus is to deliver China macroeconomic and market insights to internal and external stakeholders. Her team launched the Belt and Road Economic Indices, which offers unique insight into China’s increasing connectivity with emerging economies.

Prior to joining ICBCS, Jinny was a London-based Senior Economist at Standard Chartered Bank. She covered key China-Europe macro topics with a focus on Renminbi internationalisation. Her previous economist roles include covering China based in Shanghai, Europe, and supporting the Chief Economist.

Heading up the European RMB Solutions team, Jinny chaired the Education and Marketing stream of the City of London’s Renminbi initiative. Widely recognised as a China and Renminbi expert in London, she makes frequent appearances in media and at high-level conferences.

Jinny studied Economics (BA Hons) at the University of Durham. Later in her career, she gained her Masters of Development Studies (MSc.) from the London School of Economics.

James leads Mercuria’s environmental product origination in EMEA, covering the range of carbon pricing systems globally, from the EU ETS through to biofuel tickets and voluntary carbon markets. James has been active in carbon since 2012, having previously held positions in origination and market analysis at BP and Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

Daniel Agostini is the head of Low Carbon and European Energy Policies within the European Affairs Department of Enel Holding.

He is responsible for policy analysis and corporate position development on European Energy Policies and on Low Carbon Policies across the over 30 countries in which the Enel Group operates. In such role he is in charge of monitoring and assessing policy developments in the areas of climate change, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Mr. Agostini is member of the Board of IETA, the International Emission Trading Association. He currently co-chairs the IETA EU-Emission Trading Scheme (EU-ETS) Working Group as well as the Eurelectric Energy Efficiency Working Group.

Prior to joining Enel, Mr. Agostini led the environmental advisory group of a global management consulting company in Italy. He advised governments and private sector operators on environmental management, emission trading, renewable energies and energy efficiency.

Previously, Mr Agostini worked as an environmental engineer for an international engineering consulting company based in Boston (USA), with projects in North and South America.

Mr. Agostini holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering with a minor in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA). He also holds a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley (USA) and a Master of Science in Environmental and Resources Economics from University College London (UCL, UK).

Jacob Armstrong is a sustainable shipping officer at Brussels-based NGO Transport & Environment (T&E). He currently manages T&E’s advocacy work on shipping in the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) Regulation and the UNFCCC.

Prior to joining T&E, Jacob worked at the European Commission, the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) and the European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP). His educational background is in history, with a specialisation in the history of political thought.

Chris joined Standard Chartered in 2011 and is responsible for the development of Carbon Markets strategy and product development for the Bank.

The role requires close cooperation across the business and externally to source carbon market transactions and participate in new markets as they develop. Chris is a member of the CIX management team, supported SCB’s Group CEO, Bill Winters, in his role as Chair of the Taskforce for Scaling the Voluntary Carbon Markets (TSVCM).He is a board member of the newly formed Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Markets (IC-VCM) and serves as a member of the CPLC’s Advisory Group. Chris’s experience in the commodity markets spans over 25 years in origination, sales and trading. At Standard Chartered, he built up the Bank’s energy risk management platform, originating deals with state-owned and merchant refiners, oil producers, airlines, utilities and shipping companies.

Previously Chris was with Barclays where he was Global Head of Environmental Markets Sales and before that at Merrill Lynch where he traded power, gas and set up their carbon emissions trading desk. He was a founder member of the Carbon Markets and Investors Association (CMIA) and was the Chairman of Power Trading Forum a division of the Futures and Options Association (FOA). He also worked as a base metals trader for a number of years before moving to energy. Chris has a strong understanding of commodity deal structuring, trade finance and managing price risk.

Derya Sargın Malkoç graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations. She completed her master's degree in European Union Studies at Leiden University, Netherlands. She joined İşbank in 2006 as an Assistant Inspector at the Board of Inspectors, and was appointed as Assistant Manager of the Investor Relations Department in 2006. she. She has been working as the Sustainability Unit Manager in the Investor Relations and Sustainability Department since May 2021.

Paula VanLaningham is the Global Head of Carbon at Commodity Insights. Previously she acted as the global Price Group lead for Energy Transition, where she helped to develop the Platts methodology on Voluntary Carbon Markets. She has also been Managing Editor of the EMEA crude team, overseeing Platts’ North Sea, Russian, Mediterranean and West African crude coverage. Paula has a BA in International Politics from the George Washington University and a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics.

Francisco Grajales has over 12 years of experience in the fields of renewable energy, carbon markets and corporate carbon management.

Currently he is regional manager for the procurement of carbon credits for Vattenfall, a leading European energy group. As regional manager with focus on Latin-America and Asia, Francisco is responsible for identification and origination of emission reduction project activities and negotiating all final purchase agreements of carbon credits. In addition, he is also responsible for strategic planning of procurement activities and provides advice on the future of the carbon markets to key Business Units of the Vattenfall Group. 

Before joining Vattenfall, Francisco was assistant fund manager for the Clean Tech Fund at Econergy, where he supported the identification and development of clean technology and CDM projects for investment.

Prior to Econergy, Francisco worked in the Latin America Environmental Department of the World Bank in Washington, DC as a Junior Professional Associate.

Previous to that, Francisco worked as a climate change and emissions trading analyst for a Finnish energy company, Fortum, where he contributed to the development of a corporate carbon market strategy.

Domenic has 30 years of experience in the financial markets, across several institutions. He was most recently the Global Head of Commodities and Carbon at Rabobank based out of London. His global team spanned the range of commodity markets (agriculture, energy, and metals), serving the bank’s global client base with both vanilla and more structured risk management solutions. He has been deeply involved in the various carbon markets since 2005, resulting in his joining the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets in 2020.

Esteban Mezzano is a business lawyer with 20 years in Nestlé. Since 2011, he has worked at the company headquarters in Switzerland after assignments in Argentina and Chile.

Esteban was appointed General Counsel of Corporate Operations & Sustainability in 2019, reporting both to the group Chief Legal Officer and the group Chief Operations Officer. He leads a team responsible for the legal advice to Corporate Operations in the areas of procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, agriculture, and ESG. In this last topic, particular legal support focuses on Nestlé’s efforts in climate change, sustainable packaging, water, responsible sourcing, and human rights.

Dr Mostyn Brown leads AFRY’s modelling of the world’s largest carbon markets including the EU ETS and the voluntary offset/carbon removals market. He has worked on least-cost pathways to net zero for over 10 years where he has advised leading US tech companies, large utilities, and financial players, on the evolving commercial and policy landscape, as well as representing AFRY on cross-cutting initiatives like the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets (TSVCM). Prior to AFRY, Mostyn worked for a micro-solar start-up in East Africa and worked as a Systems Biologist at the University of Oxford, researching the world’s smallest electric motor.

Andy runs Xpansiv’s XSignals market data and analytics business. XSignals provides intraday and historical data, inclusive of bid/offer and transaction prices and volumes, for trades executed and cleared on Xpansiv’s CBL spot exchange. XSignals’ analytics platform enables market participants to interact with both CBL data and aggregated issuance and retirement information from leading registries.

Seb is a Co-Founder of BeZero Carbon, a global ratings agency for the voluntary carbon market. Founded in 2020, its global team combines expertise within climate and earth science, financial research, data science, and public policy. Prior to founding BeZero Carbon, he worked as a Rates Strategist for Bank of America, focusing on fixed income markets. He began his career as an Economist at the Bank of England. He has an MSc in Finance & Economics from Warwick Business School and an MA in Economics from the University of Sheffield.

Stephanie Harris is a Director on 3Degrees’ Carbon Markets team, where she is responsible for managing the company’s voluntary carbon offset portfolio. Stephanie first joined 3Degrees in 2015 as a REC Trader on the Environmental Markets team. She shifted over to the Carbon Markets team in 2018 and has been instrumental in crafting customized portfolios to help corporate sustainability leaders address their Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions and achieve their climate goals. Prior to joining 3Degrees, Stephanie completed a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she also obtained a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Communication. Her studies provided a strong foundation in renewable energy policy and energy conservation.

Alfredo is now in charge of energy environment and decarbonisation for Cepsa Chemical group for 8 plants worldwide. Before re-joining Cepsa he was a recognised international expert on industrial emission regulations. For a decade alfredo has delivered emission reduction services to public and private organisations, mainly to European Commission regulations. Alfredo has extensive experience on cleaner technologies (BATs) mainly for chemical, refineries and power generation. Alfredo has done extensive work on regulatory development on Green Deal (and ‘fit for 55’ package) related with Industrial emissions directive, medium combustion plants and more recently in ETS for the European Commission. Alfredo was a European Commission employee (setting emission limit values) and before that worked in manufacturing and engineering for CEPSA and Sabic. Alfredo holds patents on Polycarbonate process technologies. Engineer degree with post graduate courses in IFP (Paris) and McGill (Montreal).

Nicolas is Head of APICORP’s Corporate Banking activities and that includes financial advisory, project and asset-based finance as well as trade and commodity finance. Corporate Finance offers conventional as well as Islamic debt products. Nicolas joined APICORP’s Project & Trade Finance Department in 2000 having worked previously for 8 years with Credit Agricole Indosuez, Paris as Economist and then Structured Finance Manager in the Asset based and Project Finance Department. At APICORP, Nicolas is a member of the Credit & Investment Committee that reviews and approves the credits as well as the direct investments of the Corporation, as well as a member of the Executive Management Committee and of the Risk and Assets and Liabilities Committee. Nicolas has had the overall responsibility for APICORP’s Corporate Finance activities since September 2004 and he has since then coordinated the financing and advisory assignments in which APICORP has been instrumental all over the Arab region and beyond. Prior to September 2004, as head of the North Africa and Mediterranean Business Group, Nicolas was instrumental in arranging several breakthrough financings for projects in Egypt, Morocco, Libya and Algeria.

Nicolas holds a post graduate degree in International Economics (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies en Economie Internationale) from l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and is also a graduate of l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (MA in public policy and public administration). Rob Lee is a leader in the climate change and carbon industry, with over 12 years of experience pioneering industry recognized standards in carbon markets. Mr. Lee is VP of Carbon Programs at Aspiration, where he oversees the development and establishment of Aspiration’s global carbon portfolio as well as the Aspiration carbon credit quality standards. Rob has technical expertise across all sectors of carbon projects having led multiple technical teams while serving as Program Director at the Climate Action Reserve, with specific expertise in nature based climate solutions. He has extensive experience in offset project design, reporting, and verification; development of offset protocols, methodologies, and quantification tools; international carbon market governance and registry functions; and development and design of new programs such as Climate Forward. Mr. Lee has advised national and subnational governments on carbon market design, policy, and implementation, and has acted as an independent advisor to organizations seeking to understand carbon market dynamics. Rob earned a B.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University, a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University's Nicholas School and an International Development Policy Certificate from Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy.

Petra specialised in policy analysis and strategic thinking design responding to gaps and opportunities for sustainable corporate ecosystem in Indonesia.

She is currently leading the program design for sustainable corporate in Indonesia focusing on corporations’ climate strategy internalization through corporates capacity building programs and amplifying the decarbonization pathways towards corporate’s net zero goals. She has also raised critical points regarding Indonesia’s carbon price implication towards business strategy and the government’s subsidy structure.

Petra has also worked on providing regulatory analysis on the opportunities towards Indonesia’s Green Economic Recovery, Indonesia’s financial system climate action mapping and Indonesia’s long-term strategy under the topic of economic transition and the role of non-state actors.

Previously, Petra worked in the assurance and financial audit field at Ernst & Young Indonesia, with business line engagements ranging from manufacturing, plantations and utilities for both national and international operations.

Petra holds a master’s degree in Management from Monash University and a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, majoring in accounting, from the University of Queensland.

Alexis joined ENGIE in 2019 to develop the Green Power Business of the Global Energy Management & Sales business unit. Since March 2021 he is head of the GEMS’ Carbon Desk, managing activities on the Voluntary Carbon Markets. Alexis discovered the carbon markets in 2007 at Orbeo, where he worked on project origination, portfolio transactions and M&A deals.

David Hynes is an advisor at the secretariat of the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP). ICAP is an international forum of 40 member and observer governments and public authorities that have implemented or are planning to implement emissions trading systems (ETS).

At ICAP he supports capacity building activities for countries looking to implement emissions trading systems. He previously worked for the UK Government on international carbon market policy, including leading work for the UK Presidency on Article 6 negotiations at COP26.

His career spans 20+ years with leadership roles in consultancy and management working with various international and national oil & gas companies across Asia, Middle East, and Europe as well as entrepreneurship in the U.S.

A Peruvian national passionate about development and international cooperation, Juan Carlos has spent the last 12-Years in the European private sector building partnerships in development & climate finance between for-profit/non-profit organisations and governments in Latin-America.

Juan Carlos started his carrier as junior originator at the Danone Fund for Nature and the Peruvian leading NGO AIDER as Business Development Manager. JC is also a former founding-team member and Latam Director for the Althelia Climate Fund (ACF), the pioneer climate & natural capital investment fund success story, today part of Mirova/Natixis Investment Managers.

Most recently, Juan Carlos has supported the creation of TotalEnergies Nature-Based Solutions business unit as Senior Project Developer.

As Senior Director, Climate Policy and Strategy, Andrew leads Verra’s strategic engagement to develop opportunities for carbon-related standards and build greater ambition in climate action. He works with initiatives in the voluntary market as well as governmental and intergovernmental programs to shape new frameworks for private and public sector finance, and to feed needs and priorities back into Verra’s work programs.

Andrew has been developing climate policy and carbon markets for over 20 years. As an independent consultant before joining Verra, he worked on projects with a range of government clients, international institutions, and business groups. Much of this work fed into the UNFCCC negotiations, particularly on international cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, as well as the development of country strategies to support the growth and success of carbon markets.

Prior to this, Andrew spent over 15 years with the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat. He started there to help build up carbon markets under the Kyoto Protocol, including by establishing the Clean Development Mechanism, international emissions trading, and Kyoto’s international accounting framework and infrastructure. Later he led the secretariat’s support to the executive boards of Kyoto’s CDM and JI crediting programs. Andrew also coordinated the secretariat’s work on the strategic development of carbon markets and the negotiation of market issues under the UNFCCC until Article 6 was adopted as part of the Paris Agreement.

Michael Rumberg studied forestry and did his doctorate on forest carbon offset projects. His 20-year professional career includes positions at university, in environmental technology, commodity trading, certification companies and the insurance industry. Mr. Rumberg brings extensive international and intercultural experience from project work in more than 30 countries to Volkswagen ClimatePartner.

Deepti Jerath heads the UK region and is also Global Head for Institutional Investors, at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance arm of the World Bank Group. In addition, she leads the Carbon markets strategy and origination for MIGA worldwide; and is working to promote innovative applications of MIGA’s products to support carbon markets.

Prior to joining MIGA, she spent most of her career in Investment Banking, most recently as Head of UK Credit & Equity Solutions at JP Morgan Chase & Co. Through her banking career, she has extensive experience of working with institutional investors as well as UK corporates across structured finance, secured funding and derivatives. She has also gained unique insights from an investor perspective, having led Private Debt origination at Phoenix Group, which is the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business.

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and BA (Hons) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram, Delhi University.

Mark McDivitt, a leading expert on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and financial markets. Prior to Context Labs, Mark was at State Street Corporation, where he spent the last decade of his career, demonstrating global thought leadership in ESG, culminating in his tenure as global head of ESG at State Street, where he focused on data analytics and carbon trading. Prior to that, Mark served as the head of ESG Solutions for State Street Global Exchange and Managing Director of US Hedge Fund Sales. Mark also served on the advisory boards of Greentown Labs, CECP’s Strategic Investor Initiative, Self Help Africa and was a SASB Alliance member and remains an active Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program.

Before joining State Street in 2010, Mark was Founder and President of CarbonCCY Management executing environmental attributes on behalf of renewable energy infrastructure companies. Mark began his career with Fuji Bank in Tokyo, Japan trading interest rate swaps followed by fifteen years with Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in Tokyo, Singapore and London as Head of Hedge Fund Sales. In addition, he held an eight-year term with AIG and CS in Hedge Fund FX & Derivative Sales.

Chris Bennett is the Global Head of Strategy and M&A for Sustainable1, where he is responsible for driving the development and execution of Sustainable1’s strategy, leading M&A activities and supporting strategic partnerships.

Before joining Sustasinable1, Chris was a Director of Index Investment Strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices where he produced research, content and was a spokesman for the business, working with both clients and media outlets on topics and indices across the entire S&P DJI product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income, and economic indices.

Chris was also previously part of S&P DJI from 2014-2016 as Senior Analyst, Index Investment Strategy. Prior to returning to S&P DJI, Chris was Manager, Corporate Strategy, at S&P Global, where he developed and supported enterprise-wide strategic initiatives driven by external market forces and internal opportunities for operational improvements. Before joining S&P Global, Chris worked in Corporate FP&A at Prudential Financial.

Chris attended Seton Hall University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and information technology management, graduating magna cum laude. Chris is also a CFA charterholder.

Charlotte joined the Energy Transition team at S&P Global Commodity Insights in 2021 based in London, focusing on hydrogen, voluntary carbon markets, and renewables, as well as their application to established commodity verticals. Charlotte previously held various price reporting and editorial management roles in metals and battery materials including cobalt and lithium, both of which are critical to global decarbonization goals. Charlotte holds a BA in History from University College London.

Kathy Benini is a Managing Director and Head of Environmental Solutions at S & P Global including responsibility for the S&P Global Environmental Registry, Auctions, and Carbon Meta-Registry. Kathy is a frequent speaker on environmental markets and how to use data and technology to advance the growth of carbon markets. She has been a member of the Task Force for Scaling Voluntary Markets and is a current member of the UK Voluntary Carbon Market Forum Steering Committee. She currently sits on the board and is a Past President of the Women’s Energy Network, Greater New York City Chapter.

Prior to S&P Global Kathy worked at Goldman Sachs for 28 years where she had a variety of roles in Finance, Operations, Project Management and Human Resources. Her last role was Vice President of Commodity Operations including global responsibility for logistics covering electricity, oil, gas, emissions, and renewable energy. Kathy served as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of LEAP (Leadership for Energy Automated Processing) and is a member of the ISDA Commodities Working Group.

Kathy holds a degree in Economics from Eisenhower College of Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Columbia University.

Michael is an Analyst in S&P Global Commodity Insights’ Low Carbon Markets team. His responsibilities include preparing market reports and forecasts focusing on compliance carbon markets in Europe, including the EU Emissions Trading System and the recently established UK Emissions Trading Scheme. Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights, Michael spent four years working in emissions trading policy roles for the UK Government’s Civil Service. Michael has also previously worked and qualified as an operational meteorologist for the UK Meteorological Office.

Roman Kramarchuk leads efforts at Platt to analyze the impacts of the energy transition – driven by policy changes and technology advancements – on the energy.

Yuejia is the research lead for carbon markets and pricing for Energy and Climate Scenarios (ECS) in S&P Commodity Insights. She specializes in the economic drivers behind the low-carbon transition; her areas of expertise include global compliance and voluntary carbon markets, carbon pricing dynamics, climate finance, jurisdiction-specific climate policy, with a special focus on natural capital and nature-based solutions.

Prior to joining ECS, Yuejia was a director of strategy consulting with the Energy and Natural Resources consulting team, focusing on corporate and company strategies.

Yuejia holds a Bachelor of Science in math and economics, a master's degree in gender and development from the London School of Economics, and a master's degree in economics from Cambridge University, United Kingdom.
