Modeling the Impact of the US-Iran Conflict on Refined Products
The conflict in the Middle East has the potential to be the largest oil supply disruption in history if oil flows via the narrow Strait of Hormuz remain low or come to a halt. The situation is evolving rapidly, but escalation since the beginning of the conflict on February 28 has seen refined products markets upended. Flows through the Straits of Hormuz have ground to a halt, refineries and ports have been attacked, and crack spreads are rapidly closing in on highs last seen in the immediate aftermath of the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
What’s next? In this webinar, we will discuss the impact so far on refined products markets and look at how different scenarios will impact refined products flows and prices.
